About Singapore Sangam

Who we are

Singapore Sangam (Hindi) - often simply called सिंगापुर संगम - is a community and cultural association in Singapore focused on promoting Hindi language, literature, and cultural engagement among residents.

We also publish the Singapore Sangam Hindi magazine (ISSN 25917773) featuring creative works, stories, and literary writing.

History and background

Singapore Sangam has been active in public cultural events such as World Hindi Day / Vishwa Hindi Diwas celebrations, often in collaboration with partners and community institutions.

The association functions as a hub for the Hindi-speaking diaspora and enthusiasts in Singapore, fostering written and spoken language through creative platforms and community participation.

Vision and mission

Vision

To celebrate, preserve, and expand the reach of the Hindi language and its cultural heritage in Singapore and beyond.

We elevate Hindi as a living language of creativity and community - not just a subject of study.

Mission

To nurture Hindi language literacy, foster creative expression in Hindi, and connect people across Singapore's multicultural landscape through meaningful cultural exchange.

This mission comes alive through literary publishing, public cultural celebrations, and encouraging contributions from diaspora writers and local learners of Hindi.
